Sustainable PackagingDEKALB, ILLINOIS – (July 14, 2009) – Tegrant Corporation, Alloyd Brands announces their new, more sustainable package redesign of the T-Mobile pay-as-you-go phone. Today's retail environment demands quick turnaround, attention-grabbing design, and better solutions for the environment. Alloyd Brands designed and produced the new T-Mobile pay-as-you-go phone to accomplish it all. While improving the shelf presence with this new package, maintaining tamper resistance, and significantly reducing materials, Alloyd Brands’ designers re-configured the package utilizing Natralock® blister cards and PET blisters to produce an all-around more environmentally friendly retail package. This effort resulted in 45% reduction in plastic, 40% reduction in transport materials, and 20% increased production rates.
